Growing up in West Atlanta, Georgia and raised in St. Louis — just a minute’s walk from the iconic Delmar Loop — his childhood was anything but easy. At just 12 years old, he turned to music as an escape from an abusive upbringing, a sanctuary when the world outside offered little safety.
